High Court hears petition filed in UKSSC recruitment scam case, summons response from government and commission

The High Court on Friday heard the petition filed in the case of cancellation of the selection for more than 900 hundred posts of UKSSSC. A single bench of Justice Sanjay Kumar Mishra fixed February 17 for the next hearing while directing the state government and the Uttarakhand Subordinate Services Selection Commission to file replies.
Jagpal Singh and others filed a petition in the High Court saying that the Commission had issued advertisements for Group C and other posts for graduate passed candidates. The examination was held on 4-5 December 2021 and the result was declared on 7 April. About one and a half lakh candidates appeared in the examination, out of which candidates were selected for 916 posts. After the selection of the candidates, their certificates were verified, but after the paper leak, all the appointments were canceled by filing a case. Candidates say that they have passed this exam by working hard. The government did not give him appointment without any reason.
The petitioners presented their stand before the journalists
We have presented our side in the court through the advocate that the hard-selected youths should be given appointment in the graduate level recruitment examination. Instructions should be given to the government to reconsider the decision, appoint the hardworking youth and give strict punishment to the culprits, so that the hardworking youth of Uttarakhand do not feel cheated. – Deepak Aiyar (petitioner)
They say
The state government has failed to provide employment to the youth. It takes three years for a youth to prepare for a recruitment. If the paper of that recruitment is leaked, then what is the fault of the unemployed youth in this? The Chief Minister kept assuring that injustice would not be done to the hardworking selected youth and announced the cancellation of the recruitment. – Manoj Kumar Gihar (petitioner)
In spite of our hard efforts, we are not getting the result in the form of appointment. I had been working hard for this exam for five years. A large selected class is suffering the punishment for the mistake of a few people. While eight recruits get a clean chit in the internal investigation, three recruitments were canceled after the investigation by the STF, while the government set an example by appointing hard-selected youths and harshly punishing unscrupulous youths.
