Snowfall in many districts of Uttarakhand, it will be cold from January 14 to 19

After snowfall in the state, the cold has increased. There has been heavy snowfall in the frontier district Chamoli. After which a significant drop in temperature has been recorded. Not only this, after the snowfall in Badrinath, the view has become mesmerizing. There has also been snowfall in Tehri, which the tourists are enjoying fiercely. At the same time, people are seen resorting to bonfire due to increasing cold in the state.

Snowfall in Chamoli, Tehri and Uttarkashi

It should be noted that in the high altitude areas of Chamoli district, from the hills to the trees and plants are completely covered with snow. There was heavy snowfall in Auli in Chamoli last day. Dhanaulti, the tourist town of Tehri, received the first snowfall of this year from late night till morning. Up to two inches of snow has accumulated at Dhanaulti Potato Farm, Apple Garden, Surakanda Devi, Kadukhal Batwaldhar and Tapovan. Many tourists have reached here. Tourists who came to see the snowfall were seen dancing on the streets all night looking at the snow. There has been heavy snowfall in Uttarkashi as well.

The Uttarakhand Meteorological Department had predicted snowfall in some districts of the state today at an altitude of 2500 meters and above, which is proving to be true. The Meteorological Center has issued an alert regarding the severe cold in the surrounding states including Uttarakhand from January 14 i.e. from today to January 19. During this, dense fog in the plains can add to the problems of the people. Due to cold winds, people may have trouble with cold. At the same time, the Meteorological Department has issued a warning regarding the formation of cold day conditions in most of the plains.

Therefore, for the next one week, there is a possibility of severe cold in the plains amidst the cold wave. On the other hand, if we talk about the forecast of the Meteorological Department today, then the weather has been forecast to remain dry with partly cloudy sky in the hilly areas of the state for the next few days. In the state, people are seen shopping fiercely for Makar Sankranti festival in the cold. In Haridwar, there is an influx of people taking bath in the Ganges at the Ganga Ghats since morning. On the other hand, talking about the temperature, today the maximum temperature in the state will be around 23 degree Celsius and the minimum temperature will be around 8 degree Celsius. In the capital Dehradun, the maximum temperature will be 22.8 and the minimum temperature will be around 9 degree Celsius.
