Himachal Pradesh: Sukhu government’s first major administrative reshuffle, 13 IAS, nine HPAS officers changed

The Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu government of Himachal Pradesh made its first major administrative reshuffle on Sunday. The Department of Personnel issued a notification to replace 13 IAS and nine HPAS officers after meeting the chief minister at the state secretariat on a holiday on Sunday. Four HAS officers have also been given additional charge.

IAS Priyatu Mandal has been appointed as Secretary, Department of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj. He will also hold the charge of Divisional Commissioner Shimla and Managing Director of Finance Corporation. HAS officer Ghanshyam Chand, secretary of the State Transport Authority, has been appointed director of elementary education. SDM Paonta Vivek Mahajan has been made Executive Director HRTC, State Project Director of Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan Virender Sharma Secretary State Food Commission, IAS Anurag Chandra Municipal Corporation Dharamshala Commissioner and Amit Kumar Director Finance and Personnel in Power Corporation.

Pradeep Thakur, IAS, has been posted as Director, SC, OBC, Minorities Department and Jatin Lal as Managing Director, Skill Development Corporation. Jatin Lal will also hold the charge of Managing Director of Handloom and Handicraft Corporation. Gandharva Rathore has been posted as Settlement Officer Kangra, Saurabh Jassal as ADC Kangra, Dr Nidhi Patel as ADC Bilaspur, Mahendra Lal Gujjar as ADC Mandi, Divyanshu Singhal as SDM Nalagarh, Omkant Thakur as SDM Karsog, Abhishek Garg as SDM Bilaspur and Gursimar Singh as SDM. Noorpur has been installed.

Among the HPAS officers, Dr Vishal Sharma has been posted as Additional Director Health Education and Research, Anil Bhardwaj as Assistant Deputy Commissioner Protocol Parwanoo, Rameshwar Das as Assistant Settlement Officer Arki, Krishna Kumar Sharma-II as SDM Jogindernagar, Aprajita Chandel as SDM Nadaun and Gunjit Chimma as SDM. Pavanta has been appointed. District Deputy Commissioners and Superintendents of Police will soon be transferred in the state.
