IND vs NZ: Big blow to India, Shreyas Iyer out of ODI series

India has got a big blow before the ODI series. In fact, Shreyas Iyer has been ruled out of the ODI series against New Zealand due to injury. In his place, Rajat Patidar has been included as a replacement. Iyer is out of the series due to a back injury. He will now go to the National Cricket Academy (NCA) and get his treatment done.

Let us tell you that the first match of the ODI series between India and New Zealand will be played on January 18. New Zealand team is going to play 3 ODIs and 3 T20 matches series against India. More recently, India won a resounding victory in the ODI and T20 series against Sri Lanka.
Shreyas Iyer’s performance in the ODI series against Sri Lanka was not special. Now with Shreyas not being in the ODI series, it is expected that Suryakumar Yadav will get a chance in India’s playing XI. Surya was not included in the playing XI in the two matches of the ODI series against Sri Lanka.
