CM Dhami submitted report of Joshimath landslide to Union Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP National President JP Nadda

Chief Minister Singh Pushkar Dhami submitted the report regarding land subsidence in Joshimath to Union Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP National President JP Nadda in Delhi. He also informed about the decisions taken for the relief and rescue of the affected. Before the commencement of the second day of the BJP National Working Committee, Chief Minister Dhami met Union Ministers Shah and Nadda separately. He placed the report so far in front of the central leaders and told that out of the houses which had developed cracks, more than 230 families have been shifted to safer places. The Uttarakhand government has also released Rs 1.5 lakh each to the affected families as immediate relief. He himself has also taken stock of the situation by camping in Joshimath. The Chief Minister also informed that the Chief Minister’s Office Secretary and Commissioner are also camping on the spot. One thousand temporary buildings are being built for the affected.
While marking the land at four-five places for permanent rehabilitation, their geological survey is also being conducted. Nadda instructed Chief Minister Dhami to take every problem of the affected people sensitively. On the other hand, BJP State President Bhatt also met National President Nadda and handed over the report to him on behalf of the organization. Bhatt said that after the rapid landslide, the party had sent a 14-member team to the spot. Along with this, he also remained among the people in the affected areas for several days. He also gave information about the work done by the organization.
Chief Secretary will brainstorm with scientists today
Chief Secretary Dr. SS Sandhu will hold a meeting with the directors of all research institutes and their representatives on Wednesday for the survey so far and future preparations in Joshimath. Through video conferencing, information about the current situation will be taken from the scientists.
15 houses will be demolished in JP Colony
The Disaster Management Secretary said that 15 houses in Jaypee Colony have been dangerously damaged. Instructions have been given for their demolition. Their demolition will also be done in a phased manner in a scientific manner. He informed that so far 849 cracked buildings have been identified in Joshimath. While 167 houses are in the disaster affected area. Today 13 more families have been shifted from the disaster affected area to safe relief camps.
