Delhi: The person who stayed in 5 star hotel absconded without paying the bill of 23 lakhs! Was telling himself a relative of the royal family, had fun for 4 months

A famous five-star hotel in the country’s capital Delhi was duped by a man by pretending that he was related to the royal family in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (UAE). The accused had described himself as the staff of the royal family and on this basis he enjoyed staying in room number-427 of the hotel for four months. The most surprising thing is that without paying the bill of 23 lakh rupees, he ran away from there by pressing his tail.

The whole matter is related to the Leela Palace Hotel, where the impersonator has been identified as Mohammad Sharif. He has been charged with theft and cheating by disguise. On arrival at the hotel, he told authorities that he lived in the UAE and had worked in the office of Sheikh Falah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, a member of the Royal Family of Abu Dhabi.

Not only this, it is alleged that he had told the staff that he had worked with Shaikh personally and was in India on some official work. Interestingly, to execute this forgery, he had made a fake resident card (certificate of being resident there) and business card and some documents of UAE. Police said that the ID cards recovered from the accused are not genuine and they have no connection with the Royal Family of Abu Dhabi. On Saturday, a case was also filed against Sharif on behalf of the hotel management. Meanwhile, the media was informed by the police that he had stayed in the hotel from August 1 to November 20, 2022.

According to the FIR, he had paid Rs 11.5 lakh for a long stay at the hotel, but left without paying more than half of the total bill. He left from there without saying anything. According to the police, he had an outstanding bill of Rs 23 lakh. The complaint against the accused states that he stole silver along with some other valuables from the hotel room.
