Uttarakhand: Auli Winter Games eclipsed by the situation in Joshimath, Tourism Minister made a special appeal

Due to the Joshimath disaster, the tourism business of Uttarakhand has derailed. The Chardham Yatra closes in winter and the Winter Games begin in Auli. The state government has invested a lot to promote skiing in Auli. Work is also being done on many schemes in Auli. But this year the disaster in Joshimath has ruined all the preparations.
The tourists who had registered for coming to Auli this year, have started canceling their registration in view of the Joshimath disaster. Tourism Minister Satpal Maharaj has appealed to the tourists not to cancel the registration. Tourism Minister Satpal Maharaj has said that the local people are demanding to hold Winter Games but the state government is waiting for a concrete report. Only after that a decision will be taken regarding the Winter Games.
After the Joshimath disaster, Tourism Minister Satpal Maharaj has advocated to allow tourists to tourist destinations only according to their carrying capacity. Tourism Minister Satpal Maharaj has also considered the media report responsible for the cancellation of registration of tourists. Satpal Maharaj has said that such reports have come in the media regarding Joshimath, due to which tourism has suffered a lot.
