Supreme Court collegium recommends appointment of nine advocates as judges of Allahabad High Court

The Supreme Court Collegium has sent a recommendation to the Central Government for the appointment of nine advocates as judges of the Allahabad High Court. These include Prashant Kumar, Syed Qamar Hasan Rizvi, Manish Kumar Nigam, Manjeev Shukla, Anish Kumar Gupta, Nand Prabha Shukla, Arun Kumar Singh Deshwal, Kshitij Shailendra and Vinod Diwakar.
If the central government gives its consent on the appointment of all these nine judges, then the number of judges of Allahabad High Court will be 105. However, even after this appointment, 55 posts of judges will remain vacant in the Allahabad High Court.
Cooperation of bar bench is necessary for justice: Justice Umeshchandra Sharma
The new executive body of the Uttar Pradesh Revenue Council Bar Association took charge on Thursday. Justice Umeshchandra Sharma of Allahabad High Court administered the oath to the new executive. On this occasion, he said that mutual co-operation between Bar and Bench is very important for justice. The advocates of Allahabad always supported him. Because of this his work has been easy. During this, he also refreshed his memories. It is said that he has been doing judicial service for almost 35 years. It has been a great experience working with the advocates here during my posting in Allahabad. Newly elected President of Revenue Council Bar Association Harsh Narayan Sharma said that he will always be ready for the interests of the advocates. The vote of thanks was given by General Secretary Pankaj Srivastava. Operation was done by Yogendra Kumar Pandey, Prakashchandra Shukla, Ashutosh Srivastava. On this occasion, all the advocates including High Court advocate Vijay Chand Srivastava presented their views.
