5 days rest, work will start again, this is how Team India will prepare for Test series
While the Indian team will be busy in the T20 series against New Zealand from Friday, many players including captain Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli will be away from the field. This is because he has not been selected for the T20 team and coach Rahul Dravid recently said that he has been rested. This is because these players will take the field for the Test series against Australia from next month. For this series, now the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is going to organize a practice camp in the next few days, for which Indian players will gather in Nagpur.
After playing two consecutive ODI series against Sri Lanka and New Zealand, many senior players including captain Rohit have been rested for the next few days. However, most of these are no longer a part of the Indian team management’s plans in T20 cricket, but at the moment this is not being said openly and hence believing their ‘break’ thing, one has to believe that the senior players will be given a break before the crucial Test series. has been rested
Meeting in Mumbai, preparation in Nagpur
January 24 was the last ODI after which these senior players are on a break of 5 days. However, as soon as this rest time is over, Team India will start preparing for the Test series. In a report by InsideSports, quoting Indian board sources, it has been told that after a short break, the gathering of Indian players will be held in Mumbai on February 2 for the preparations for the Test series. According to the report, Team India will take part in a 4-5 day practice camp before the Test series.
Although, earlier this camp was to be held in Mumbai, but it has been told in the report that now this camp has been shifted to Nagpur. The first Test of the four-match series will be played in Nagpur itself on 9 February.
It has been told in the report that all the players of the Test squad and the entire support staff including coach Rahul Dravid will assemble in Mumbai on February 2, after which they will leave for Nagpur. Rahul Dravid will be joining the team after completing the T20 series against New Zealand. The three-match T20 series will end on February 1 with the last match in Ahmedabad
