In Himachal Pradesh, the Congress government will buy cow’s milk at Rs.80 per liter and buffalo’s milk at Rs.100 per liter from cattle rearers. The government is planning for this. Along with this, the government is also discussing about buying cow dung at Rs 2 per kg.
Chief Minister Thakur Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu said that in order to strengthen the rural economy, the state government has decided to make a provision of one thousand crore rupees for this important sector. Animal husbandry is the main source of rural economy and the state government will buy cow’s milk at the rate of Rs.
With this decision of the state government, the farmers of the state will get an income of 24 to 30 thousand rupees per month. This will not only motivate the farmers to adopt animal husbandry, but will also provide better self-employment opportunities for the youth of the state. In order to benefit the cattle rearers, the state government is considering to buy cow dung at the rate of two rupees per kg. This will strengthen the economy of the farmers and motivate people to adopt natural farming.
Congress had given a guarantee before the elections
Before the assembly elections in Himachal, the Congress had given 10 guarantees, including the above two. At present, Congress has announced to restore OPS, but Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu’s government has not been able to fulfill even a single guarantee. The price of milk and purchase of cow dung was also included in the pledge letter of Congress.
Government will build a home for orphans
In Himachal, the government will give land to build homes for orphans. Along with this, it has also been decided to increase the age for maintenance to 27 years. It has also been decided to provide four Viswa lands to orphan children for building houses. The state government will also bear the expenses of their higher education.
