Due to the efforts of the doctors of Indira Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences ie IGIMS, the life of a prisoner who swallowed mobile has been saved. Through endoscopy, the doctor of the hospital Dr. Ashish Jha has taken out the mobile stuck in the prisoner’s stomach. Please tell that Kausar Ali, a prisoner lodged in Gopalganj jail, had swallowed his mobile due to the fear of raids, after which the mobile was stuck in his food bag for two days and he kept on moaning with pain. He was admitted to IGIMS under police protection where doctors got success without operation.
Please tell that on the morning of February 17, a prisoner named Kaushar was talking on a mobile phone in Gopalganj Jail. Then the police reached to investigate. Due to the fear of the police, the prisoner had swallowed the mobile. After this his life became in danger. After a while his stomach ache started. The police took him to the hospital where even the doctors were surprised to see the X-ray. Kausar had a phone in his stomach. The mobile got stuck under the prisoner’s chest near the stomach. For two days, a 3.5 inch long and 2 inch wide phone was stuck in the prisoner’s stomach.
After this he was admitted to IGIMS Hospital in Patna. X-ray showed mobile in his stomach. The doctors of the hospital removed the mobile from the machine through his mouth through endoscopy. Hospital’s gastroenterologist Dr. Ashish Kumar Jha told that the mobile was stuck in his food bag for two days.
Dr. Manish Mandal of IGIMS said that this was the first case in his medical career of 25 years that a patient was admitted after swallowing a mobile phone. It was a strange case. Now the condition of the prisoner is stable and out of danger. The director of the hospital Dr. Binde Kumar has congratulated the entire team along with Dr. Ashish Jha.
