Uttarakhand: Dhami government’s bulldozers standing in Pachhwa Dehradun, no willpower was seen in the officers
On the one hand, the Additional Chief Secretary of the Government of Uttarakhand forms a task force in every district to identify illegal encroachments on government lands. On the other hand, it directs to stop the removal of illegal encroachments. This double standard indicates that the bureaucracy is patronizing the illegal encroachment of state government lands.
For the last two days, bulldozers, videographers, department officials, employees etc. hired by Jal Vidyut Nigam are standing ready to remove illegal encroachment from government land, but the police force has not reached them, nor has they received any written information. It is given that the force will not come. The campaign to free this type of encroachment started in 2018 as well and in two days it got fumed due to the apathy of the bureaucracy.
More than 900 families of illegal encroachers are settled on the government land of Uttarakhand Jal Vidyut Nigam on Himachal, UP, Uttarakhand border in Paschuwa Dehradun. To remove those, the corporation gave notice to the occupants and gave them 10 days time and asked them to remove the encroachment themselves. The illegal occupation was not removed in 10 days, and the political- administrative game started here. The occupants took refuge with the MLAs and the District Magistrate spoke to the Additional Chief Secretary. According to the information, to remove the encroachment from here, the hydropower department had sought force from the district administration, but the force was not received on March 11. The excuse was given that a flag fair has been organized in Dehradun and the assembly session is also going on. That is, the will power of the administration gave its answer here.
It is worth mentioning that before starting such campaigns in UP, a work out plan is made at the government- administration level. Which was mentioned by UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in front of the media on the issue of encroachment on Haldwani Railway land. In Uttarakhand, due to the lack of will power and poor policy of the administration, the incidents of infiltration are continuously increasing. Infiltrators from Assam, Bangladesh are coming and settling here illegally. There are many cases like Haldwani railway land, Pachuwa Dehradun, Mazar Jihad on forest land, illegal settlements surrounding Kumbh area in Haridwar, illegal encroachment on government land of reservoirs in Udham Singh Nagar district, due to which the four plain districts of Uttarakhand Muslim population is creating population imbalance because of these illegal occupations.
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami talks about removing illegal encroachment from government lands, but his bureaucrats are lax in this matter. The campaign that Uttarakhand Police had run in the past for the verification of outsiders also proved to be a hoax because the police did not do it seriously and in a planned manner. Recently the Forest Department has confirmed that there is illegal encroachment on 10,000 hectares of forest land. The question arises that who allowed this occupation? Irrigation, PWD, Jal Vidyut Nigam, Forest Department, on whose instigation the precious lands of revenue were finally captured? Had the bureaucracy remained strict, the situation in Uttarakhand would not have been like this today.
The government does not have the will power: Saini Uttarakhand government and because of the poor governance here, Muslim people are settling here illegally. Jaiveer Saini, head of the Vedic Milan organization, says that due to the nexus of bureaucrats and leaders, Muslimstan is being formed here. President of Veer Savarkar Organization Kuldeep Kumar says that the land worth billions of rupees is currently under illegal occupation, in which people have come and settled? The intelligence department also has all this information. Their report goes to the government as well as to the Chief Minister’s office, yet the system is asleep.
