A youth had gone missing in Rishikesh. Police searching for the missing youth found the dead body of the youth two days later. The dead body of a young man with his hands and legs tied was found by the Jal police near Pandav Pathar. After this, the police has opened the secret of the murder by linking each link and arrested the murderer and sent him to jail.

The police have arrested a baba for the murder of Ajay, a resident of Shishamjhari. According to the police, during interrogation, the accused Baba has confessed to killing Ajay in a smack intoxication due to the greed of money. On Baba’s tip, the police have also recovered Ajay’s scooty, iPhone and cash worth Rs 4,500.

Police say that cases of murder and NDPS Act have already been registered against Baba at Mansa Devi police station in Panchkula, Haryana.

Inspector- in- charge Ritesh Shah disclosed the murder of Ajay (24) son Asrafi Shah on Sunday. Told that Ajay was missing since March 3.

On March 5, his dead body was found by the water police near the Pandav stone. On March 10, a murder case was registered against the unknown on the complaint of father Asrafi. Eight police teams were formed to identify the accused. In this, many mobile numbers were also checked from CCTV cameras to surveillance.

On the information of the informer, the accused Baba Shankar Giri alias Sanjay Kumar s/ o Kanhaiya, resident of Village Baroda, Sonepat, Haryana and Hall resident of Cottage Neem Beach, Tapovan were arrested from Kharasrot. During interrogation, accused Shankar Giri told that he is addicted to smack and he often used to get intoxicated with Ajay.

On March also, both smoked smack near the cottage on Neem Beach. Seeing the money in Ajay’s pocket, he got greedy. When asked for money, Ajay went away abusing. Called him again and then both smoked. Ajay again started abusing while shouting after being intoxicated.

Meanwhile, he was attacked with a stone, due to which he fainted and went to the banks of the Ganges. Took out mobile and four and a half thousand rupees from Ajay’s pocket. After this, by tying his hands and feet, he and the stone used in the attack were also thrown into the Ganges. CO Narendranagar Ravindra Chamoli, Inspector in- charge Ritesh Sah, SSI Rajesh Bisht, SI Manish Kumar etc. were included in the police team that disclosed the murder.
