Today, on March 13, a meeting of the cabinet was convened in Gairsain, the summer capital of Uttarakhand under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami. Many proposals have been discussed in the meeting. Out of this, a proposal has also been passed to increase the MLA fund. The cabinet has approved the proposal to increase the MLA fund.

MLA fund increased to five crores

Actually, the MLAs of the ruling party and the opposition have been demanding to increase the MLA fund for a long time. In the last session, the MLAs raised the issue of increasing the MLA fund within the House. Since then it was expected that the government would soon take a decision on increasing the MLA fund. At the same time, in the cabinet meeting held in Gairsain today, the government decided to increase the fund, under which now the MLAs will get Rs 5 crore as MLA fund.

Mahila Mangal Dal will get 50 lakhs

Tell that till now MLAs were being given MLA fund of Rs 3 crore 75 lakh. Along with this, approval has also been given to increase the amount given to Mahila Mangal Dal from the MLA fund. In such a situation, now the MLA will be able to give up to Rs 50 lakh to the Mahila Mangal Dal from the fund. Earlier, there was a provision to give only up to Rs 40 lakh to the Mahila Mangal Dal from the MLA’s fund.

Rs 50 lakh will be given for the beautification of religious places

Apart from this, the cabinet has approved the proposal to increase the amount given for the beautification of religious places. Under this, 50 lakh rupees can now be given for the beautification of religious places. Earlier there was a provision to spend only 40 lakh rupees annually. Not only this, the horizontal reservation bill of the state agitators was returned from the Raj Bhavan. In such a situation, the cabinet has decided that then the horizontal reservation bill of the agitators will be sent to the Raj Bhavan.
