Zwigato Box Office Collection: Slow start of Kapil Sharma’s ‘Zwigato’, collection did not even reach 50 lakhs on opening day
Comedian and actor Kapil Sharma’s film ‘Zwigato’ has been released in theaters on March 17. Directed by Nandita Das, the film stars Kapil Sharma as a delivery boy Manas who struggles a lot to take care of his family. The audience was eagerly waiting for the film since its trailer release, but according to them, the film’s opening day collection has not been anything special. In the film, Shahana Goswami has appeared in the lead role along with comedian and actor Kapil Sharma.
‘Zwigato’ received a lukewarm response from the audience on its opening day. Trend analyst Taran Adarsh told in his tweet that the film has done a total business of 42 lakhs. Taran Adarsh wrote in the tweet, ‘The film Zwigato released in limited 409 screens and has brought a dull score on the first day. The film is getting good word of mouth publicity, it is expected to earn well over the weekend, on Friday the film has earned 42 lakhs. This film of Kapil Sharma has received good reviews from critics. Along with this, the film is also being praised on social media.
Viewers are liking Kapil Sharma’s character in the film. On casting Kapil, Nandita Das said, ‘I had never seen Kapil Sharma’s show, but I saw in the clip that he is perfect for my character Manas. When I reached to meet him and offered the film, Kapil Sharma immediately said yes after hearing the story. Nandita Das further said that the biggest concern was not being able to bring out Kapil’s Punjabiness, but Kapil Sharma accepted this challenge as well and worked hard for it. The film ‘Zwigato’ is clashing at the box office with Rani Mukerji’s film ‘Mrs Chatterjee vs Norway’.
