Swami Omvesh, Samajwadi Party MLA from Chandpur assembly constituency in Bijnor, Uttar Pradesh, has a heart-felt desire to shower flowers from a helicopter on the Muslim community offering prayers on the occasion of Eid.
MLA Omvesh has written a letter to the District Magistrate of Bijnor demanding permission for this. MLA Omvesh has told in a letter written on Saturday that since the Chandpur assembly constituency he represents has a majority of minority population and Eid is his most important festival. That’s why the district administration should give approval for the rain of flowers on the Namazis by helicopter.
On behalf of SP MLA Swami Omvesh, it has been said that the way the Yogi Adityanath government of Uttar Pradesh rains flowers on the way of Kavdis in the month of Sawan, in the same way Eid is also considered a very holy festival for Muslims and since The people of Chandpur have sent him as their representative in the assembly. For this reason, they also have a moral responsibility to participate in their festival. For this reason, the District Magistrate Bijnor should allow that on the occasion of Eid, Namjis flowers can be showered by helicopter.
The SP MLA has clearly mentioned in the letter that the helicopter will only do an aerial circumnavigation and will go back after showering flowers on the namazis. During this time he will not land on the ground. The MLA has also marked the place of flower shower and told that on the day of Eid, the helicopter will reach Chandpur Idgah by flying from the designated place and will go back to its designated place after showering flowers from the sky for half an hour. During this time the helicopter will not land in any area of Chandpur. It is being told that on this letter of MLA Swami Omvesh, District Magistrate Bijnor has informed the concerned officials and has ordered to take necessary action in the matter as per government rules.
