This is how to recognize real gold
PD Jain, custodian of Gorakhpur Sarafa Mandal, says that while buying gold ornaments, one must first see the hallmark on it. Apart from this, there are many methods, with the help of which gold can be easily tested.
Nitric acid test
Nitric acid has no effect on real gold. To test, scratch a bit of the jewelry and pour nitric acid over it. If it is gold then it will not be affected.
Test with vinegar
Vinegar is available in the kitchen of every house. If there is no effect on pouring a few drops of vinegar on gold jewelry, then it is pure gold. If it is fake gold, then wherever the drops of vinegar fall, the color of the jewelry will change.
Floating test
Gold is a hard metal, so it can be tested for floating. If the jewel sinks in water, then understand that it is real. If it starts floating then understand that the gold is fake.
Gold does not have magnetic properties
Keep in mind that gold does not have magnetic properties or rather it is not attracted to a magnet. If your jewelry starts getting pulled towards the magnet, then understand that it is fake.
