Integrated Aqua Park will open in Sitarganj, Central Government approved under Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana
The Central Government has approved the establishment of an Integrated Aqua Park at Sitarganj in Udham Singh Nagar under the Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana. The contribution of the Center will be Rs 40 crore 05 lakh in this centrally aided scheme costing a total of Rs 44 crore 50 lakh. The Project Appraisal Committee of Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana had recommended the establishment of Integrated Aqua Park at Sitarganj in Udham Singh Nagar. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Central Government for this. He said that this would boost fish production and increase the income of farmers and fish farmers.
Aqua Park is a unique and innovative concept brought by the Government of India under Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana, where various fisheries activities are carried out at one place. It will serve as an excellent platform for fish farmers and related stakeholders. In this sequence, a state level Integrated Aquapark is being established in Udhamsinghnagar district under the state of Uttarakhand.
Various fisheries development activities will be added under Aquapark, in which 01-01 Pangasius and Tilapia Hatchery, Biofloc Unit, Recirculation Unit (RAS), Ornamental Fisheries Hatchery and Rearing Unit, Processing Unit, Training Center, Incubation Center, Quarantine Unit etc. will be worked.
From the Aquapark to be set up, production of 1.8 crore fish seeds of excellent quality, production of 250 metric tonnes of fish, processing of 2800 tonnes of fish, etc. will be done in a year. On the establishment of Aquapark, 5815 persons / fish farmers will get benefit in the initial year while 10445 persons will be benefited every year from the tenth year of the scheme.
