Rahul Gandhi Controversy: Germany now reacts after America, said – still there is an option to appeal in SC

The issue of cancellation of Lok Sabha membership of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is gaining momentum in foreign countries as well. After America, Germany has now reacted to the Rahul Gandhi controversy.

A German Foreign Ministry spokesperson said they were confident that any action taken against Rahul would be within the ambit of judicial independence and keeping in mind his fundamental rights. Speaking to the media, a German Foreign Ministry spokesperson said that to our knowledge, Rahul Gandhi still has the option of appealing to the Supreme Court after being found guilty.
The spokesman further said that we are sure that while taking action against Rahul Gandhi or hearing his side, judicial independence and fundamental rights of Rahul will be taken care of.
Because of this Rahul Gandhi’s membership was canceled
In fact, on March 23, a court in Gujarat’s Surat district had convicted Rahul Gandhi in a criminal defamation case against the Congress leader in 2019 over a statement made during the election campaign in Karnataka regarding the Modi surname.
Along with this, the court sentenced Rahul Gandhi to two years in jail. The very next day, on March 24, his membership of the Lok Sabha was canceled due to the Representation of the People Act. Since then, the Congress party is attacking the BJP. Protests are being held in Congress ruled states.
