PM Narendra Modi world’s most popular leader, Joe Biden and Rishi Sunak left behind: Survey

India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi has once again emerged as the most popular leader in the world, and has been left behind by US President Joe Biden and Britain’s Indian-origin Prime Minister Rishi Sunak. This latest ranking has been released by Global Decision Intelligence firm Morning Consult, which monitors major decisions of world leaders.

Sharing the news on the micro-blogging website Twitter, Union Minister Piyush Goyal said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is the ‘most liked and most admired leader’. According to Morning Consult, PM Narendra Modi topped the list with 76 per cent approval rating, while Mexico’s President Andrés Manuel López Obrador came second.

Morning Consult reported, “Approval ratings are based on a seven-day average of all adult citizens in each country, and sample sizes have varied by country…” Last in the list of 22 leaders is South Korean President Yoon Suk-yeol, who has an approval rating of 19 percent. All of their interviews were conducted online, Morning Consult said, and nationally representative samples of adults were taken by country.

Morning Consult further states on its website, “The surveys are conducted in each country by age, gender, region and, in some countries, education according to information from official government sources… Respondents to the survey are presented in the languages of their countries.” I only get it done…”

The list is updated regularly, and US President Joe Biden is at number eight this year with a loss of one spot. Prime Minister Petr Fiala of the Czech Republic, Emmanuel Macron of France and South Korean President Yoon Suk-yeol are in the last three positions in the survey conducted among the leaders of 22 countries.
