Karnataka: Girlfriend adamant on marrying prisoner, said in court – If I do not marry him, someone else will take me

If my lord does not release him on parole, someone else will take me. This is not a scene from a drama or a film, but a story of a girl pleading before the Karnataka High Court. A young woman went before the High Court and pleaded that the person whom she has been in love with for a long time is in jail in a murder case. Release him on parole for 15 days, so that he can marry his lover. A girl named Neetha had filed a petition in the Karnataka High Court along with her future mother-in-law. She said that she guarantees that during the 15-day parole, her boyfriend Anand will not do any such act which will cause any problem to the law or the police.
Convicted Anand’s mother also joined the petition
Anand’s mother was also involved in the petition. She said in the application to the court that she is going to live for a very short time. He has come of age. But he has a dream that he can see Anand and Neeta together while he is alive. Both love each other for a long time. Can’t live without each other.
Justice melted after listening to the girl’s arguments
Justice M Nagaprasanna was first breathless after seeing the petition of both. When the hearing happened, his heart also melted. He also melted when he heard the plea of Neetha and Anand’s mother who was in jail. He ordered both of them to present their application before the jail authorities. The court ordered the jail authority to release Anand on parole for at least 15 days, so that he could marry Neeta. Anand is convicted in the murder case. He is serving his sentence as prisoner number 11699 in the jail. He has currently been ordered to be released on parole from the afternoon of April 5 to the evening of April 20. The court has strictly said that he should not do any such work which may cause any trouble.
The High Court cited the decisions of Bombay and Rajasthan
However, the public prosecutor opposed the plea of Neetha and her future mother-in-law, saying that Anand was guilty of murder. Releasing her on parole for marriage is wrong. He said that there is no such law in which he should be released on parole for marriage. He said that if the accused of murder had to attend someone’s wedding, then it was a different matter. But there is no point in accepting such a plea. But the Karnataka High Court, citing the decisions of the Bombay High Court and the Rajasthan High Court, said that Anand be released on parole.
