Madhya Pradesh / Damoh: 90 year old reached to pay electricity bill by cycling 13 km, honored by applying Tilak

Damoh: A 90-year-old man living in Tendukheda block of Damoh district comes from 13 km away every month to pay his electricity bill. There is a lack of resources in the village, so he comes by bicycle. On Wednesday too, when he reached Tendukheda electricity office to pay his electricity bill, Tendukheda JE Rohit Jain caught sight of him. He called the old man to the office, gave him water and honored him by applying Tilak. The elders were also very happy to receive this honor, because they did not know that someone could honor the electricity bill which they have been paying so honestly for twenty years. The elders are residents of village Baheria and Baheria is 13 kilometers away from Tendukheda.
Lack of resources
The name of the elderly person is Gajraj Yadav. He comes to Tendukheda by cycle every month after using electricity to pay his bill. Because there is a lack of vehicles in his village. That’s why even at the age of 90, elders come by bicycle to pay electricity bills. Seeing this, the employees of the electricity department also appreciate the old man a lot. This time he informed the officer of the department and he respected the old man. Because elders fully understand their responsibilities.
If you use then payment is also necessary
Gajraj Yadav told, his only means of sustenance is farming, which is two acres. In that, we feed ourselves and our families. But he also understands his responsibilities. Gajraj Yadav told that he uses electricity, so it is also necessary to pay the bill every month. For the last 20 years, he comes by bicycle to collect the electricity bill. He has also appealed to others to deposit electricity bills on time.
What did JE tell
Tendukheda JE Rohit Jain told that many times appeals have to be made to the competent people to pay the outstanding bills. Even after this he does not deposit the bill. But Gajraj Yadav is such a person, who always pays the bills on time. Whether it is summer or winter, the bill of any month does not remain due to them. The biggest thing is that Gajraj Yadav is 90 years old and despite the absence of vehicles in the village, he comes to Tendukheda by bicycle to pay the bills. This month his bill came to Rs 135, which he deposited. He was respected as a good consumer. People should learn from them. Also, understanding the importance of electricity, timely payment should be made.
