Pre Wedding Shoot: Two miscreants called Najibabad’s cameraman to Dehradun on the pretext of pre-wedding shooting and then made him stay in a hotel and stole cameras worth lakhs of rupees. Patelnagar Kotwali police arrested two accused and recovered cameras worth lakhs of rupees from them.
Senior Superintendent of Police, Dalip Singh Kunwar, during a press conference held at the police office, said that Ankit Kumar, a resident of Baseda Dudhli, Najibabad, UP, lodged a complaint that on April 1, Dipendra alias Shivam Kumar called him to a hotel in Shimla bypass for a pre-wedding shoot. .

He reached with his partner carrying all the shooting material, camera, drone camera. The hotel was also booked by Dipendra. Dipendra took them out for food and left one of his companions near the luggage at the hotel. Meanwhile, seeing the opportunity, Dipendra fled somewhere.
When he returned, he found that all the belongings were missing from the hotel. In this matter, Inspector Patel Nagar Suryabhushan Negi started the investigation by forming different teams. When the CCTV cameras installed around the hotel were checked, it was found that two persons riding a motorcycle were seen carrying luggage.
Accused arrested with stolen goods
On Wednesday near Pithuwala, the police arrested the accused Anuj Kumar resident of village Shravanpur police station Najibabad Bijnor and resident of Luv Lohiwal Phulbagh Colony Alhepur Dhampur district Bijnor with stolen goods.
During interrogation, accused Luv Lohiwal told that he and his partner Anuj Kumar are originally from Bijnor. Both have been doing photo and videography work for some time by renting a room on Sahastradhara Road.
Some time back, Anuj showed the pre wedding shoot ad of Bijnor resident Ankit Kumar on internet media. He was aware that photographers and videographers carry expensive cameras and other equipment with them for pre wedding shoots.
As part of the plan, Anuj Kumar contacted Ankit Kumar posing as Dipendra and called him to Dehradun on April 4 for a pre-wedding shoot of his marriage.
After coming to Dehradun, Anuj kept his luggage in the hotel and took him out on the pretext of feeding him. Meanwhile, the accused Luv Lohiwal fled after stealing the goods. The SSP has announced a cash prize of Rs 10,000 to the team that busts the theft incident.
