Uttarakhand: Lansdowne will be renamed after General Bipin Rawat, CM Dhami said – proposal will be sent to the Center

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of schemes worth crores of rupees at Chaubattakhal on Friday. On this occasion, the CM laid the foundation stone of 11 schemes worth Rs 9159.04 lakh and dedicated 11 works constructed with Rs 3752.70 lakh.

On reaching the area for the first time, the CM was warmly welcomed. In the meeting, the Chief Minister said that under the direction of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, development is taking place in Uttarakhand on the lines of neither past nor future. Very soon the Uniform Civil Code Act is going to be implemented in the state. Uttarakhand will be the first state to implement the Uniform Civil Code. In order to prevent cheating in the state’s competitive examinations, a provision has been made in the stringent anti-copying law up to life imprisonment and confiscation of all property. 92 accused of cheating in various examinations are behind bars. Encroachments on government lands in the name of religion will be identified and removed. People involved in such cases will be identified and strict action will be taken against them. Taking a jibe at the construction of shrines etc. on government lands, he said that shrine-jihad will not be allowed to dominate the culture of the land of God. BJP state president Mahendra Bhatt said that those whose shops were closed due to the anti-copying law. They are freaked out. New records of development are being established in the field of railways, roads, tourism, education, medicine etc. in the state.
