In Khandwa district of Madhya Pradesh, a case of giving Taliban punishment to a brother and sister has come to light. Accusing them of questioning their character, the villagers took them hostage and beat them up. In fact, when a brother went to visit his sister’s house, the local villagers doubted his character and punished the brother and sister with Taliban. Where both were first tied to a tree and beaten with sticks and whips for about an hour. However, after this incident, the police have registered a case against three people on the basis of the complaint of the victim. At present, the police have arrested three people. According to media reports, this incident is from Bamanda village of Piplod in Khandwa district. Actually, the victim Gyanlal had come to the village to meet his cousin Kalavati. Whereas, Kalavati was not present at home. At the same time when both the brothers and sisters sat on a cot in the courtyard outside the house. While they were talking, some villagers spread rumors about their ‘objectionable’ character. Arguing over the same, they tied them to a tree with ropes, after which they were thrashed with sticks.

On the other hand, due to being tied to a tree by the villagers, both the brothers and sisters kept begging the villagers to release them. Both of them said that they are both cousins. But the villagers did not agree. Police said the woman’s husband also told the mob over a phone call that they were indeed cousins, but they instead continued to thrash him until some relatives came to know. However, after this incident someone informed the police. As soon as the incident was reported, the police reached the spot and rescued both the victims from the clutches of the villagers. After that both were taken to the hospital.

On the other hand, Piplod police station in-charge said that on the complaint of Gyanlal’s father Biharilal Kajle (21), a resident of Jharikheda, a case has been registered against Ramdas Mangatu, Dayaram Tikaram and Ishwar alias Hanu of Bamanda village.
