Uttarakhand / Rudrapur: Money was not given to bring the watch from the fair! 14 year old child chose death
A 14-year-old boy committed suicide after not getting money to buy a watch at Rudrapur’s transit camp on Sunday. His body was found hanging in the house with the help of a pot. Police sent the dead body for postmortem. On the other hand, the family members are in bad condition by crying. Relative Ramdayal told that Roop Chand, a resident of Machhi Market Transit Camp, works as a laborer in a kiln. He has two sons and two daughters. In the morning he went to his work. Here there were wife and children in the house.
At around 10 in the morning, her second son Vishal Kumar (14) started insisting on demanding money from the mother to buy the watch. The mother talked about giving the money in the evening instead of giving it at that time, but he started insisting on giving the money at the same time. On mother’s refusal, he went inside the room and locked himself in the room by locking it.
After some time the mother knocked on the door and it did not open. When the mother and her siblings looked through the window made in the room, her body was hanging from the ceiling with the help of a pot in the room. On seeing him, the ground slipped under the feet of all the people present there. In a hurry, the people around reached and broke the door and removed the dead body and reached the district hospital.
There the doctors declared him dead. On information, the police reached and took the dead body into custody and sent it for postmortem. Relatives told that in the evening he had to go to the fair going on at the Ataria temple and he was demanding money from there to buy the watch. In-charge CO Omprakash told that the child’s mental balance was not good. He was undergoing treatment in Bareilly.
