Uttarakhand: CM Dhami participates in “Praveshotsav” program organized by Education Department, Praveshotsav program will run for one month

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Tuesday participated in the “Praveshotsav” program organized by the Education Department at Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Residential School, Baniyawala, Dehradun. For the academic year 2023-24, the education department is organizing the Praveshotsav program across the state from today. This event will last for a month. The entry ceremony of girls at Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Residential School Baniyawala was started with Vidyarambh Sanskar. On this occasion, the Chief Minister also laid the foundation stone of the upgraded building of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Residential School, Baniyawala. He also decorated the 8th class girls from the school with the matriculation ceremony. On this occasion, an amount of Rs 21 crore 76 lakh was transferred through DBT to more than 21 thousand teachers of primary schools for tablets in their schools. The Chief Minister also provided tablets to some teachers at the venue. Will use them for education teaching learning.
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami announced on the occasion that boundary wall of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose residential hostel Baniyawala and playground would be made as per the available land. Reasonable increase in the honorarium of short-term teachers and other personnel working on honorarium in Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose residential hostels and Kasturba Gandhi residential girls’ hostels. A welfare fund will be set up for Bhojanmata and Anusevaks hired on honorarium under the PM Nutrition Scheme in government schools. This welfare fund will be used for giving reasonable lump sum amount to the concerned Bhojan Mata and Anusevas on their release from the school after completing a certain contribution period. Dining hall and 02 additional rooms will be constructed for Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose residential hostel Baniyawala.
Congratulating all the students on their entry into the schools, the Chief Minister said that the new academic session is starting from today, while on the other hand, the foundation stone of a new Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose hostel, which has been upgraded for about 3.5 crore students, is also being laid. Is. At present, a total of 11 such residential hostels have been approved in the state at Tanakpur, Champawat, Srinagar, Pauri Garhwal, Udham Singh Nagar, Peethsen, through which our students are getting help in getting education, apart from this, 2 new hostels have been opened in this financial year. Residential hostels have been approved in Tanakpur and Srinagar, as well as 3 hostels Gadarpur, Peethsen and Baniawala have also been upgraded. Through these hostels, both boys and girls are being provided free food, accommodation, uniforms, teaching material etc. For the purpose of digital strengthening, teachers of government primary schools have been provided an amount of ten thousand rupees for the purchase of tablets under the teacher resources package.
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that innovation in education is very important with time. Knowledge and education cannot be just bookish. The purpose of education is to develop every dimension of the individual in a balanced way. Balanced growth is not possible without innovation. He said that education provides us with high thoughts, high morals, high values and high behavior as well as high solutions to the problems of the society. Continuous efforts are being made by the Government to promote girls’ education. The slogan of Beti Padhao, Beti Badhao given by the Prime Minister has to be shown to us by making it meaningful. The Chief Minister said that our youth are the future of this country. Children are the strong foundation on which the destiny of the new India and the future of the new India rests. The State Government is committed to provide a bright future for the students. It is through education that a society can become prosperous and powerful. The Chief Minister said that the new education policy would give new dimensions to school education and higher education and would also provide opportunities for all sections of the population to get education on equal basis. The new education policy will provide employment-oriented education and will not require separate preparation for competitive examinations. This will promote research and development and the new education policy will prove effective in making the country a developed nation. Uttarakhand is the first state in the country to implement the new education policy in school education.
Education Minister Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat said the Pravesh Utsav program would last for a month in the state. Public representatives will also participate in the school admissions programmes. He said that continuous efforts are being made by the government to reduce the number of drop out children in the state to zero percent. A Vidya Samiksha Kendra will be launched in the state soon. He said that the government has decided to give free books to the children of non-government schools besides government schools. Soon everyone will get books. Now book banks are being set up in every school. The education minister said that all the minority schools in the state were being surveyed to see how much they were following the standards according to which the schools were given minority status. He said that the transfer policy in the education department is being strengthened. The state is going to have a suitcase free day for children in schools during the month, on which exercise, yoga and other activities will be done. The five boards of education will soon meet to decide on reducing the weight of children’s suitcases.
