BJP leader “Sambit Patra” himself shared the video of walking barefoot on the burning coals

BJP national spokesperson Sambit Patra has shared a video in which he is seen walking on burning coal. On Tuesday, he reached Jhamu Jatra in Puri district of Odisha during the puja. During this, according to the tradition here, walk on burning coal. He himself shared its video.

Patra tweeted, ‘Today, I participated in the pilgrimage at Rebati Raman village of Samang Panchayat in Puri district, worshiped the mother by walking on fire and sought her blessings and wished the villagers happiness and prosperity. Walking on fire in this pilgrimage, I am feeling blessed to have received the blessings of Mother. The senior BJP leader said that he did the act of walking on fire for the welfare of the people and peace in the region.

According to tradition, Jhamu Jatra is a penance and devotees walk on fire to fulfill their wishes and please the Mother Goddess. It can be seen in the video that he came walking on coals and then took blessings from the people. BJP spokesperson visited Jhadeshwari Mata. Jhamu Jatra is celebrated in the month of Baisakh. It ends on the day of Pana Sankranti. It is considered as the new year of Oriya people. People visit Shiva and Hanuman temples on this day. Apart from this, bathe in the rivers. People also perform traditional dances.
