Former Congress President Rahul Gandhi was also present in the meeting. Apart from this, Nitish Kumar can meet many other big leaders of the opposition today. Nitish is once again preparing to unite the opposition before 2024.

Rahul Gandhi, Lalan Singh, Manoj Jha, Salman Khurshid, Mukul Wasnik and Bihar Congress President Akhilesh Prasad Singh are also present in the meeting of Nitish Kumar and Tejashwi Yadav with Mallikarjun Kharge.

In February, Nitish Kumar had asserted that if all opposition parties, including the Congress, fought the 2024 Lok Sabha elections unitedly, the BJP would be reduced to less than 100 seats.

Nitish Kumar also visited Delhi in September last year when he met leaders like Sharad Pawar, Arvind Kejriwal, D Raja, Sitaram Yechury and Akhilesh Yadav. JD(U), RJD, Congress and Left parties are part of the ruling coalition in Bihar.

Earlier on Tuesday, Nitish Kumar met Lalu Yadav and got to know his condition. Apart from the current political situation, the two leaders also discussed efforts to strengthen opposition unity to take on the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.

The meeting between the two top leaders of Bihar took place on a day when Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav appeared before the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in Delhi for questioning in connection with the money laundering probe related to the alleged job-for-land scam.

After this meeting, Nitish Kumar said that he was in touch with Lalu Prasad on the phone, and it was important to know about his health and to meet him personally, so he met him.
