Opinions differ on Savarkar

On the one hand, the Congress has been targeting the central government by taking the name of Savarkar. It is being said that Sharad Pawar himself had met Congress leaders to resolve the issue.

He had said, ‘I want to tell Rahul Gandhi that we should go together in your Bharat Jodo Yatra, because it was necessary to save democracy. But I openly say to Rahul Gandhi that Savarkar is like God for us and we will not tolerate his insult…. We are together to save democracy. But don’t give such statements and don’t take such steps, which will create a rift.
