Right now the population of humans is 800 crores, it will reduce to 600 by the end of the century, shocking study
Man is expert in increasing population. It took 125 years for humans to become 100 to 200 crores. Last year on November 15, the population of us Homo sapiens on the earth reached 800 crores. But it took only 12 years to become 700 to 800 crores. But now it is taking 27 years to reach 900 crores by 2050. That is, the fertility of humans is decreasing. There is a reason for this too. That too very important. Because the thing we will yearn for in the future is clean air.
In the report of UN DESA’s World Population Prospects 2022, it was said that the population of 900 crores will be in the year 2037. By 2058, it will cross 1000 crores. But this does not seem to be happening. The growing population of humans has its own advantages and disadvantages. As less population requires less energy.
When there is more population, the use of energy and resources is also more. Economic imbalance is created. In future, such policies will have to be made, which will benefit the growing population according to the society, economic condition and environment. The study that is being talked about here has been done in a very deep way. In this, it has been told how 10 percent of the rich people of the whole world consume more. Due to these, the environment is harmed. Common man suffers.
Population of many countries at its highest level
Earth4All modeler and scientist Jorgen Randers said that the biggest luxury of humans is to consume carbon and biosphere. Not their population. Wherever the population is growing rapidly, the per capita environmental footprints are very less. Places where the population is running at its highest level several decades ago.
Rapid increase in population in Africa
Ten countries have been selected in this new study. These are sub-Saharan countries from China to America and Africa. Presently African countries like Angola, Niger, Congo and Nigeria have the highest rate of population growth. Afghanistan has the highest rate among Asian countries. Scientists paid attention to two situations coming in this century.
By the end of the century, the population will be 600 to 760 crores
The first is that Too Little Too Late. The world has changed a lot since 1980. Birth rate, savings, borrowing level, tax rate, income model have all changed. According to its calculation, by the middle of this century, the population of humans on earth should be 880 crores. But later it will reduce to 730 crores by 2100.
The reason for this is global imbalance, ecological footprint, extinction of wildlife will further ruin the economic condition and population. The best situation which is being considered is Giant Leap. That is, by 2040 the number of humans will be 850 crores. But by the end of the century it will come down to 600 crores. Overall, the biggest reason for the decrease in population will be economic imbalance and climate change.
What was claimed in the UN DESA report?
The rate of increase of human population has fallen for the last few decades. But in spite of this our population will be 900 crores by 2037 and 1000 crores by 2058. This estimate has been made in UN DESA’s World Population Prospects 2022 report. Joel Cohen of Rockefeller University’s Laboratory of Population says Am I extra on earth? How will the earth bear the burden of us humans. There are two sides to this – the first is natural limits and the choices humans have.
Human Nature – Greed and Stupid Actions
Joel says that humans have a bad habit of doing stupid things and greed. Fossil fuel will be misused for more fuel. The result is that the emission of carbon dioxide will be more. Due to this, global warming will increase on the earth. Glaciers will melt. Sea level will rise. The land will merge into the sea. The weather will change. There will be more heat. There will be unseasonal rain. Winters can be short or long.
According to the growing population, humans need 1.75 Earth
According to WWF and Global Footprint Network, the rate at which human population is increasing, our earth will shrink accordingly. To meet the needs of humans, 1.75 more earth is required. That is, there should be a further increase of 75 percent in what is now. Now this cannot happen.
Maximum population will increase in these 8 countries, difficult to stop
According to the United Nations report, by the year 2050, the eight countries in the world whose population will increase the fastest are Congo, Egypt, Ethiopia, India, Nigeria, Pakistan, Philippines and Tanzania. By 2050, whatever population is increasing, more than half of it will be contributed by sub-Saharan countries of Africa.
