Cyber ​​thugs cheated a student of Bareilly College, resident of Lakhimpur Kheri, of Rs one lakh on the pretext of crypto currency. The student complained to the SSP on which investigation has been started. Shagun Singh, a resident of Murarkheda Colony of Sampoorna Nagar in Lakhimpur Kheri, is studying BSc from Bareilly College, staying at Rampur Garden in Bareilly. The student, who met SSP Prabhakar Chowdhary on Tuesday, told that a message came on her mobile on Sunday. In this, it was told that on depositing money in crypto, their amount will be increased to sixty percent within half an hour. The student clicked on the given link. After this, Rs 99,990 was deducted three times from the online payment app present in his mobile.

The girl student told the SSP that her parents are teaching her by earning money with hard work, her cheated amount should be returned. SSP assured him of action and sent the matter to cyber cell.

Cyber cell returned the money

The cyber cell of the SSP office is also working to get the money back from the victims of fraud. This is happening after timely information. Posing as a relative of Ravi Singh, a resident of Sharif Nagar, Bahedi, a cyber thug had stolen Rs 98,000 from his account twice. When Ravi complained to the SSP, the cyber cell returned Rs 49,000 out of the cheated amount.

Take these precautions

▪️Do not tell OTP to anyone, do not give bank details.

▪️Shutting down the internet on mobile while sleeping at night also prevents fraud.
▪️Avoid downloading useless apps.
▪️Call 1930 toll free number as soon as you get cheated.
▪️As soon as the fraud is detected, a complaint can also be lodged on cybercrime.gov.in immediately.
