IPL 2023: Kagiso Rabada created history, broke Lasith Malinga’s record; Became the fastest bowler to take 100 wickets in IPL

Punjab Kings fast bowler Kagiso Rabada got his 100th IPL wicket during the match against Gujarat Titans. With this, he has become the fastest bowler to take 100 wickets. He broke the record of veteran Lasith Malinga. The right- arm fast bowler achieved this feat in his 64th IPL match. He did this feat by dismissing Gujarat Titans opener Wriddhiman Saha.

Fast bowler Kagis Rabada broke the record of Lasith Malinga, who took 100 wickets in his 70th match. Bhuvneshwar Kumar is the fastest Indian bowler to take 100 wickets in IPL. He became the third fastest player to reach this point. Rashid Khan, Amit Mishra and Ashish Nehra achieved this feat in their 83rd match. While Yuzvendra Chahal showed this feat in the 84th match.

Kagiso Rabada did not play in the opening matches of IPL 2023. Because he was busy playing for his country. He took part in his first match of IPL on Thursday. Rabada won the Purple Cap in IPL 2020 by taking the most wickets while playing for Delhi Capitals. He took 30 wickets in 17 matches that season. In the IPL 2022 auction, Punjab Kings bought him for Rs 9.25 crore. He took 23 wickets in 13 matches last season.
