Uttar Pradesh: Transaction of 54 crores, income tax not deposited…! Notice reached from Delhi to home guard of DM office

In Uttar Pradesh’s Shamli, the Income Tax Department sent such a notice to a home guard, after reading which the home guard was shocked. This notice has been sent by the Delhi Income Tax Office. Home guard is posted at DM camp office. There was a stir in the home guard and his family regarding the notice. The Home Guard has complained to the DM and the SP, denying any knowledge of such transactions. According to the information, Home Guard Sompal, a resident of Kudana village, is currently posted at the DM camp office. Sompal has complained to DM Ravindra Singh saying that he has received a notice in the name of Income Tax Department New Delhi on April 9 by registered post. It has been said in the notice that a transaction of about Rs 54 crore has been done in the bank account in his name since 2018 till now and income tax has not been deposited. The home guard says that he has only two bank accounts, one accounts for salary, while the other bank account is related to agriculture. He has about six bighas of agriculture. Apart from this there is no other source of income.
Went to Delhi after getting notice, officers recorded statements
Home guard Sompal says that such a huge amount of money has not been transacted in both his accounts. As per the date given in the notice, he went to the Delhi Income Tax office on April 10, where he was informed of a transaction of Rs 54 crore in another bank account. There the officials also recorded his statement. The home guard pleaded for justice in the Collectorate informing DM Ravindra Singh about receiving the notice. SSP Abhishek has also been informed about the matter. The SSP has assured to get the matter investigated by the cyber cell.
