Delhi / Gopalpuri: Husband didn’t like her, so she had illegal relationship with a younger man, made her lover kill her mother-in-law and father-in-law to grab the house!

Ashish Bhargava (29), the main accused in the murder of an elderly couple in North-East Delhi’s Gokalpuri area, has been arrested by the Delhi Police. Monika and Ashish, the daughter-in-law of the deceased couple, were having an illicit relationship and both of them were brutally murdered by Ashish on her instigation.

Giving information about this on Thursday, police officials said that Ashish Bhargava, who was absconding after the murder, was arrested three days later on Wednesday evening from near his house in Ghaziabad. Ashish is accused of killing an elderly couple Radheshyam Verma (72) and his wife Veena (68). Police said that the couple was murdered by slitting their throats at their house in Golakpuri. In this case, the police had arrested Monica, the daughter-in-law of the deceased couple, on the same day. According to the police, Monica has confessed to her crime. At present, he is in police custody.

According to the police, Monika (30) had an illicit relationship with Ashish. She also wanted to get rid of her husband Ravi Ratan (38). Police said that along with this, she wanted to capture property worth about Rs 1.30 crore by killing her father-in-law and wanted to sell it and buy a new house in Dwarka.

For this only, he had made a dreadful plan of killing the mother-in-law and father-in-law. Police said cash and other valuables worth around Rs five lakh were found missing from the couple’s house after the murder.

Deceased Radheshyam Verma retired from the post of Vice Principal of a government school in Karol Bagh. His family was living in Gokalpuri for the last 38 years.
