Uttarakhand: Secretary Dr. R. Rajesh reached Badrinath-Hemkund Sahib to check the health facilities for the pilgrims, found the motor road closed, left the car and left on foot
Dr. R Rajesh Kumar, Secretary (Health) reviewed the health facilities being provided to the pilgrims in Badrinath Dham and the holy Hemkund Sahib of Sikhs. The Pushkar government is serious about ensuring that the guests and pilgrims visiting religious and tourist places do not face any problem during the tourism and pilgrimage season and that if needed medical facilities are available at the halts, the government has made special and concrete arrangements for them. . Secretary Dr. R. Rajesh personally inspected the Primary Health Center and Medical Relief Point at Badrinath Dham in Chamoli. He instructed the Chief Medical Officer to equip all the necessary life-giving medicines, health equipment, health measures and other health facilities in high Himalayan regions before the journey.
In the morning, at a distance of 38 km ahead of Joshimath, the motor road was blocked due to the construction work of Char Dham Yatra. The secretary left the car there. He crossed the road on foot and reached Badrinath Dham along with the CMO and the employees. R Rajesh inspected the transit hostel and 50-bed hospital under construction of the health department. On the slow pace of hostel construction, the officers of the construction organization and the CMO were warned to complete the construction work soon.
The Secretary also took stock of the health services in the Primary Health Center and MRP located at Pandukeshwar and Govindghat, which fall in the encampment of Badrinath Dham and Hemkund Sahib, the holy abode of Sikhs. At Govindghat Gurdwara Sahib, Gurdwara Prabandhak Sewa Singh instructed Dr. Rajesh to provide all the necessary health related facilities for the pilgrims of Hemkund regarding health facilities in Hemkund Yatra. He reviewed the arrangements after reaching Govindghat, the main stop of the Hemkund Sahib Yatra. Govindghat is the main stop of Hemkund Sahib Yatra which is going to start from 20th May. Sikh Sangat coming from country and abroad start their journey to Hemkund Sahib Dham from here. Dr. Rajesh also gave instructions to provide proper health facilities to the people through Health ATM.
