Uttarakhand: Laxman swing from Dehradun, three friends, came to the ghats to take a bath in the Ganges, one dead
A youth from Dehradun died by drowning in the Ganges near Mastram Ghat of Laxman Jhula. SDRF has recovered the body.
SDRF Inspector Kavindra Singh Sajwan said that on Sunday, three friends from Dehradun had come to visit the Laxman Jhula area on the weekend. In the afternoon, all the three Mastrams started bathing in the Ganges near Baba Ghat.
Meanwhile Praveen Vishwakarma (20 years) s/o Gangaram Vishwakarma resident of Nana Bai Chowk, Raipur, Dehradun went missing after drowning in Ganga. Deep diver Ajay Bohra, who was part of the SDRF team, took out the young man from a depth of about 25 meters. An attempt was made to give him CPR but he had died.
