There is also a new story in the many stories of the Excise Department in Uttarakhand that the department has stopped the supply of liquor to many shopkeepers of the state. On knowing the reason, the top officials are telling that this supply has been stopped due to technical flaws. Due to this disruption in the supply, the revenue of the state will not only be affected, but the people who are fond of liquor in the state will also not be able to get their brand. Under the new Excise Policy of Dehradun state, the supply of about 256 liquor contracts which have been renewed, which is also called clearance in the language of the department, has been stopped. Due to this, the liquor contract operator is worried and the customers are also not getting the desired brand.

On this matter, Joint Excise Commissioner BS Chauhan has told that it is wrong to stop the supply, it is happening due to the problem in the IT software, the deficiency is being rectified, the supply will be ensured soon, as well as IT at the headquarters level. A proposal has also been sent to improve the work. If the words of the Joint Excise Commissioner are correct, then who will compensate the shopkeepers for the losses they will face in these days? This is a big question.
