People in Uttarakhand can now get some respite from the heat. The Meteorological Department has issued a warning of rain and hailstorm in many districts of the state. Light to moderate rain may occur over Uttarkashi, Chamoli, Rudraprayag and Pithoragarh on April 18 and 19.

There is a possibility of light rain in the remaining districts of Garhwal and Kumaon. According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of hailstorm in Uttarkashi, Rudraprayag, Bageshwar and Pithoragarh. Apart from this, winds can blow at a speed of 30 to 40 kilometers per hour in Uttarkashi, Dehradun, Pauri and Haridwar.
