Uttar Pradesh / Noida: Sending fake parcels, used to cheat in the name of custom duty, police caught 8 fraudsters including foreign women
Sector-20 Kotwali police has arrested eight fraudsters of international gang who cheated women in the name of custom duty by sending fake couriers and parcels of expensive items from Delhi. It also included foreigners and an Indian-origin woman. The accused used to trick people into befriending women on the online chatting app. Three laptops, 31 mobiles, five passports, Aadhaar card, PAN card, Voter ID card and more than 31 thousand cash have been recovered from the possession of the accused. In this, the visas of five African-origin accused had expired.
Accused came to India on medical and study VISA
It is being told that the accused had come to India on medical and study visa. They used to commit fraud by transferring money to fake accounts. The accused are from Nigeria and Ghana. The accused had cheated a lady doctor of Noida of Rs 2.5 lakh.
