232 PM-Shri schools to be built in Uttarakhand, Center approved 142 schools in the first phase

The state government is working on several important schemes to change the face of the education department in the state. School Education Minister of the state, Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat held a virtual meeting with the District Magistrates of all the districts and the officials of the Education Department regarding the quick implementation of these schemes. He instructed the departmental officers to prepare DPRs of selected PM-Shri schools and cluster schools across the state at the earliest. Apart from this, he also asked for grading of school buildings in each district and strengthening of infrastructure in schools. State School Education Minister Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat told in a statement issued to the media that an example will be set in the country by changing the face of the education system in the state, on which the state government is constantly working. In this sequence, he held a virtual meeting with the District Magistrates of all the districts, Chief Education Officers and higher officials of the Education Department today and gave instructions to work in a time-bound manner to get all the schemes of the department on the ground soon.

He informed that the department identified 232 schools in the state and sent a proposal to the Government of India for PM-Shri School, an ambitious scheme related to educational reform of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, out of which, in the first phase, 142 schools have been identified by the Government of India for PM-Shri School. Approval has been given. Whose instructions have been given to the officials to prepare detailed DPR so that the selected schools can be operated on time. Dr. Rawat said that the department has prepared a proposal to form 559 cluster schools by merging 1520 intermediate schools across the state, instructions have been given to the departmental officials to place it in the upcoming state cabinet meeting for approval, before Tuesday In the cabinet meeting held in the state, approval has been given for 603 primary and 76 upper primary cluster schools. Similarly, 2262 schools of intermediate level have been identified by grading school buildings in five categories across the state, out of which new buildings of 122 schools will be constructed, while major construction will be done in 539 schools, minor construction in 886 schools and color scheme in 715 schools. Will be lacquered.

The departmental minister said that along with the appointment of adequate number of teachers in the cluster schools, all the basic facilities including smart class, computer lab, laboratory, library, additional class room, sports material, will be made available, apart from this, the students of the cluster school Apart from this, transport facility will also be provided for the students accommodated from the nearby schools.

Secretary School Education Ravinath Raman, District Magistrates of all districts, Director General School Education Banshidhar Tiwari, Director Secondary Education Seema Jaunsari, Director Basic Education Vandana Garbyal, APD Holistic Education Mukul Sati, Chief Education Officers of all districts and other departmental officers participated in the virtual meeting.
