Rajasthan Royals bow down to sports minister’s insistence, ready to pay fine

Dramatic events were witnessed throughout the day before the start of the IPL match at the SMS Stadium. Ashok Chandna, who reached the stadium, strongly objected to the permanent constructions made here and expressed his displeasure with the Rajasthan Royals. The minister said that whatever permanent or temporary constructions have taken place here. He is beyond rules and regulations. Considering these constructions as encroachments, they were demolished and the boxes built in front of the offices in the stadium and the roads leading to the roof were locked.

After this, the Rajasthan Royals and the police and administration officials together settled the dispute before the start of the match. The Sports Minister said that the Rajasthan Royals have asked to deposit the amount as per the rules. She will pay the entire amount to the sports department before the next match. They will not have any objection after getting the government money.

Sports Minister expressed strong objection
The Sports Minister of Rajasthan had strongly objected to the permanent constructions made by the IPL team Rajasthan Royals at the SMS Stadium. Expressing his displeasure with the Rajasthan Royals, he got the seating box made in the stadium and the roads leading to the terrace locked. He said that permanent and temporary constructions come under the list of encroachments and action needs to be taken on this.

State Sports Council President gave advice
Meanwhile, Krishna Poonia, President of the State Sports Council, gave a statement in the afternoon that the Sports Minister should not get involved in the work of the Council. While in the evening, her tone also changed and she said that she would no longer like to give any kind of controversial statement. However, after the tussle between the Rajasthan Royals and the Sports Department over the IPL match, by evening, the Royals team management has agreed to pay the fine by reaching out to the Sports Minister.
