Uttarakhand: Chardham Yatra mock drill, cloud burst in Uttarkashi! CM Dhami reached the control room
During the upcoming Chardham Yatra, all the line departments will work in coordination. To see this, a mock drill has been conducted in the state today. Mock drill of disaster management took place across the state. There was a cloud burst in Uttarkashi’s Barkot, whereas in Haridwar, 12 devotees went missing due to floods in the Ganga. Rescue teams are on the spot. On the other hand, CM Dhami has reached the control room to take stock of the situation.
The control room at the Disaster Management Office received a call about school children being stranded in the coastal area due to flood in the river near Oasis School near Maharana Pratap Stadium. On which the District Magistrate / Response Officer Sonika activated the IRS and instructed all the officers associated with the IRS to discharge their respective responsibilities immediately.
Apart from this, the Disaster Operation Center received information about a stampede at Rishikesh bus station. Incident Commander Deputy Collector Rishikesh has informed the concerned police station, outpost force to reach the spot immediately to handle the situation.
