Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday called up senior Karnataka BJP leader and former minister KS Eshwarappa. A video of this has surfaced. In the video, the Prime Minister thanked Eshwarappa for accepting the party’s decision. Appreciated his loyalty. He said that what you and BS Yeddyurappa have done for the party is commendable.

Eshwarappa had retired from electoral politics
Assembly elections are to be held in Karnataka on 10 May. The results will come on 13 May. Eshwarappa, a five-time MLA from Shivamogga seat, had retired from electoral politics even before the list of BJP candidates was released. According to media reports, Eshwarappa had expressed his desire to contest again, but was denied a ticket.
Eshwarappa said – I will do everything for BJP’s victory
Eshwarappa has told the Prime Minister that he will campaign for the party’s candidate Channabasappa from his constituency. He said that I will do everything possible to see that BJP wins in Karnataka.
Not angry with BJP, respects party’s decision
Talking to the media, Eshwarappa said that I had never thought even in my dreams that Modi ji would call me. His gesture is an inspiration. And on Thursday, he had said that he is not angry with the BJP. They respect the decision of the party. He had also said that he had decided to retire from electoral politics, but would focus on strengthening the party’s organisation.

Former CM Shettar left BJP and went to Congress
