Bihar: Nitish will contest the Lok Sabha elections from Nalanda, CM gave his reaction

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar will contest from his home constituency Nalanda in the next Lok Sabha elections. Nitish said a big thing today on the discussions about contesting his elections. In fact, two days back JDU MP from Nalanda Kaushalendra Kumar had said that he is ready to give up his seat to contest for Nitish Kumar. Nitish gave his response on this offer.
What did Nitish say?
Today journalists asked Nitish Kumar whether he is going to contest from Nalanda. Nitish Kumar replied – All this, what do we have to do, why are you worried now? On the matter of contesting his election, Nitish gave the same reaction and left. He did not rule out contesting his election. In such a situation, it is understood that Nitish Kumar is ready to contest the next Lok Sabha elections.
Will contest elections after 20 years
If Nitish Kumar contests the Lok Sabha elections, he will contest any direct election after 20 years. In 2004, he contested from Badh and Nalanda Lok Sabha constituencies. He lost the election due to flood but became MP by winning from Nalanda. After becoming the Chief Minister of Bihar in 2005, instead of contesting the assembly elections and becoming an MLA, he decided to go to the Legislative Council. Since then, he has been continuously becoming a member of the Legislative Council.
In fact, Nitish Kumar is engaged in creating opposition unity to defeat BJP in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. His party leaders have also been calling Nitish Kumar as the prime ministerial candidate. Meanwhile, two days ago JDU MP from Nalanda Kaushalendra Kumar had announced that he would request Nitish Kumar to contest from Nalanda. Nalanda is the traditional seat of Nitish Kumar and I am his representative. JDU MP Kaushalendra Kumar said that we want Nitish ji to become the Prime Minister of the country by becoming an MP from Nalanda.
On the other hand, Nitish is claiming that his campaign of opposition unity has started paying off. Nitish Kumar said on Saturday that the talk of unity of opposition parties in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections will move forward after the Karnataka elections. He has talked to the leaders of many parties and will talk to many more leaders in the future. When he was asked whether there would be a meeting of opposition leaders in Bihar, the Chief Minister said that we are talking with all the leaders right now, we have to talk to some more people. When everyone is discussed, then it will be decided where the meeting will be held. Nitish said that many people are of the opinion that the meeting should be held in Patna, but it will be decided only after talking to all the people. If everyone wants, then there will definitely be a meeting in Bihar and it will be a matter of happiness for us.
