Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, while addressing a rally in Khanapur, Karnataka, slammed the BJP government. During this, he made big promises for the women of Karnataka. Priyanka reiterated Congress’s promise for Karnataka that if the Congress government comes to power, then the honorarium of Anganwadi workers will be Rs 15,000.

Priyanka Gandhi talked about increasing the honorarium of ASHA workers of Karnataka to Rs 8,000 when the Congress government comes. Along with this, he also promised to increase the honorarium of the women working in the mid-day meal. Priyanka said in the rally that she will pay an honorarium of Rs 5,000 to the sisters working in the mid-day meal.

Promising another gift to the Anganwadi workers, the Congress General Secretary said that Rs 3 lakh will be given to the employee on retirement from Anganwadi and Rs 2 lakh will be given on retirement from Mini Anganwadi.

BJP government looted 1.50 lakh crores from Karnataka

While addressing a public meeting in Khanapur, Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra attacked the BJP government and said that the BJP government has looted Rs 1.50 lakh crore from Karnataka. This is a government of loot and lies. With this money, 100 AIIMS hospitals in Karnataka, 30,000 smart classrooms for children, houses for 30 lakh poor people could have been built. BJP has looted and cheated at every level.

He further said that inflation, unemployment are issues in this election. If the BJP leaders want to divert the attention of the public, then they should do so, we will not. The issues are clear for us, this election is for the public. The public chooses which government will come and the public knows that they have been cheated and looted, the public wants change.
