It is said that there was a marriage on Sunday in Dihwa Dalit Basti in Shivtara village. When the procession, which came from Harsamhar village of Hanswar police station area, reached the door of the bride for Dwarpuja, the groom was seen drunk. After Dwarpuja, the groom reached the stage staggering and started creating ruckus. The bride who reached the stage for Jaimal was also pushed. The bride fell on the stage. On this the bride refused to marry. Seeing the progress of the matter, all the baratis slowly moved away. The drunken groom and his father were taken hostage in the night itself.

After being taken hostage overnight, the villagers informed the police about the matter on Monday morning. On the spot, in front of the police, the bride’s side were adamant on settling the expenses and transactions of the bride and groom on the spot itself. Later, after the reconciliation agreement between the people of both the parties in the Panchayat till noon, the rest of the wedding rituals were completed. Police Station President Pandit Tripathi said that the marriage took place on Monday with the consent of the bride and groom. After the agreement, both the parties did not want to take any action in the matter.
