BJP MP Maneka Gandhi reached Ghasiganj ward on Monday evening to campaign for the municipal elections in Sultanpur, UP. Due to mud due to rain, his car was parked at some distance from the venue. Maneka got down from the car and started going towards the venue, but in the meantime she is seen walking very carefully due to the mud caused by the rain. Meanwhile, suddenly Maneka Gandhi’s foot slips and she falls. He was immediately picked up by the people walking with Maneka Gandhi. However, it is a matter of relief that Maneka Gandhi has not suffered any serious injury. After this she reached the venue and addressed the people.

Maneka Gandhi had come to address the meeting in Ghasiganj

The BJP has nominated Praveen Agarwal, the former municipality president from Sultanpur, as its candidate for the municipality. Maneka Gandhi had reached to address a meeting in Ward No. 15 Ghasiganj of Municipality on Monday evening in support of BJP candidate. He was accompanied by a convoy of several vehicles including BJP MLA Vinod Singh.

Municipal elections will be held in two phases in Uttar Pradesh. Nine of the 18 mandals will go to polls in the first phase on May 4, while the remaining nine mandals will go to polls in the second phase on May 11. While the counting of votes will be held simultaneously on May 13.

‘BJP’s pot of development started overflowing’

A user Santosh Kumar Yadav shared the video of the incident on Twitter. Santosh has described himself as a Samajwadi Party worker in the intro of his profile. While sharing the video, Santosh wrote, ‘The pitcher of BJP’s development is now overflowing! BJP MP Maneka Gandhi slipped and fell in the mud in Sultanpur. He reprimanded the BJP workers. It rained heavily throughout the day on May 01 in Sultanpur. Late in the evening, MP Maneka Gandhi reached Ghasiganj ward in her parliamentary constituency for election campaign. During this, she slipped and fell in the mud.
