After 2000 note, now the update came on 500 rupee note

Recently in the country, RBI has announced the withdrawal of Rs 2000 note. After this, now the 2000 rupee note with the people will have to be deposited back in the banks. For this, the last date of 30 September 2023 has been fixed. At the same time, after the note of 2000 rupees, the largest note in the country will remain of 500 rupees. According to the Reserve Bank of India, there is a picture of Mahatma Gandhi on the front side of the 500 rupee note. 500 denomination notes also bear the signature of the Governor of the Reserve Bank of India. There is also a picture of the “Red Fort” on the reverse side of the note depicting the country’s cultural heritage. While the base color of the note is stone grey, it also features other designs and geometric patterns which are aligned with the color scheme on the front and back of the note.

How to identify fake Rs 500 notes

According to RBI, the original Rs 500 notes have certain features. Some features of Rs 500 note have been told by RBI, if this feature is not there in any Rs 500 note, then it will be fake. With this you can easily identify a fake note of 500 rupees. In such a situation, common citizens should come to understand the difference between real and fake 500 rupee notes.

This is the specialty of the original note of 500 rupees

  • The official size of the original Rs 500 note is 66 mm x 150 mm.
  • There will be a picture of Mahatma Gandhi in the middle.
  • Denomination numeral 500 will be written in Devanagari.
  • ‘Bharat’ and ‘India’ will be written in micro letters.
  • Denomination digit will be marked 500.
  • An image of 500 will be visible when the white space on the front side of the note is seen in the light.
  • There will be a strip written ‘India’ and ‘RBI’. The color of the strip changes from green to blue when the note is tilted.
  • The guarantee clause, the promise clause along with the signature of the governor and the RBI emblem on the right side of the portrait of Mahatma Gandhi.
  • Portrait and electrotype (500) of Mahatma Gandhi will be watermarked.
  • There will be a number panel with numerals in ascending font on the top left and bottom right.
  • Denomination with rupee symbol (₹500) in color changing ink (green to blue) on the bottom right.
  • On the right side there will be the symbol of Ashoka Pillar.
