Uttarakhand: CM Dhami held a review meeting of the health department, gave strict instructions to the officials to set up IT cell

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Friday stressed the need to increase employment and self-employment opportunities by promoting tourism activities in the state. During this, he asked the officials to assess how many people are able to take advantage of the tourism schemes.
During the review of the short, medium and long term roadmap prepared by the tourism department to achieve the goals of ‘Strong Uttarakhand @ 25’ here, the Chief Minister asked the officials to take the new tourism policy to the masses. He said that if there seems to be a need to increase the amount of top-up loan and subsidy in the schemes for which interest of the general public has increased, then a proposal should also be prepared for the same.
What did the CM tell the officials?
The Chief Minister asked the officers to develop such a system so that all the eligible people of the state can get the benefit of the schemes run by the government. Along with further promotion of home stays in the state, he also told the need to provide training to those who run them from time to time and said that this will give a rapid boost to the economy of the people. The Chief Minister also urged the public representatives and officials to stay in the home stay during their visit.
During the review of the Health Department, the Chief Minister directed that efforts should be made to further reduce the maternal mortality rate in the state. For this, all the departments will have to work in coordination. Mission Khushiyon Ki Sawari being run by the government should be widely publicised.
The Chief Minister said that a target has been set to make Uttarakhand drug-free by the year 2025. What efforts have been made by all the departments for this will also be reviewed. The Chief Minister said that an IT cell should be set up in the Health Directorate so that people get better health facilities.
